It was cold again today and very windy - gusting up to 33mph on a regular basis. As per usual, I wanted to get the kids outside for some fresh air (read: Mommy wanted some fresh air) so we put on jackets and headed down to Rocketship park thinking that there would be some families there to play with - it being Saturday and all. Well, for the 2nd cold and windy day in a row, we Californians were the only ones outside playing. What is a matter with New York parents? Don't they know the value of fresh air on tiring your kids out so they sleep better? Did they not read my post from yesterday?
After lunch while Ben was napping, Emma and I went down to the marina to see the boats (well, the ferries. Emma is obsessed with the ferries. She knows all of the names of them - Park City, P.T. Barnum, Grand Republic). If ever you are wondering what kind of gift to get her, just go online and buy a bunch of tickets for the ferry leaving our port to Connecticut. She would be thrilled. I took a cell phone video of her walking along the pier. Notice the wind whipping her hair and just how rough the water in the port is:
