Saturday afternoon we bbq'd the afternoon away over at the church with some new friends. Emma was in little kid heaven running around like a madwoman, barely stopping to eat. I really really need to make an effort to find her a preschool come fall. She LOVES being around other children and it is impossible to tear her away from them without great big TEARS. Especially if Henry is amongst the group. Yep, Emma has a new beau - our downstairs neighbor, who also happens to be in her Sunday nursery group. Look at her being all coy in this pic - actress - she runs the show!We ate a ton of food on Saturday and attempted to wear off the calories playing basketball with some of the older kids in the gym, but mostly from chasing Ben around - that kid can RUN. One Mom brought a salad that consisted of chopped Granny Smith apples, chopped up snickers bar, whipped cream and vanilla pudding. HEAVENLY.
Sunday afternoon we piled into 'old Vinnie-man and headed west to the town of Huntington joining up with an old college buddy of Brian's and her family. They have a 2 year old boy, Liam, and a 3 month old, Avery, and a salt water swimming pool - what more could my kids ask for? We played the afternoon away, then chowed the early evening away. We must have done something right, because both kids slept through the night. Woohoo!
