Our beloved boy wants nothing more than to build "suspension bridges" for his beloved Thomas to roll across. When he first asked me to help him build one yesterday I thought to myself, "What the heck is he asking, because it sure sounds like suspension bridge, but how does a 3 year old know about suspension bridges???"

So I pulled out my yard stick, built a long bridge across it onto the couch and "wala!" my kid was in choo-choo heaven!!
